Five Places to Check Out in the City

I’m stuck inside on a rainy night, so I thought I’d put together a list of places that I’d like to try sometime in the near future.

Mr Bao, CBD

I love a soft bun, and the crispy tofu and pork crackling baos sound like all kinds of amazing. This is probably a good place to dash to for a quick bite at the end of the day before heading off to drinks.

Kepos Street Kitchen, Redfern

Imagine having a wood-fired salmon salad, falafel, and minty pea risotto in this relaxing environment.

The Apollo, Potts Point

At first glance, this looks like a fine dining venue but the items on the menu are reasonably priced. If you love zingy Mediterranean food or anything cooked over charcoal, this might be a place to look into.

The Butler, Potts Point

French-Caribbean meals and cocktails in an airy space are perfect for a long lunch on a beautiful Spring day! Seared tuna and baked sweet potato, anyone?

Ester Restaurant, Chippendale

This would be such a lovely date night location! There’s also a decent range of seafood starters such as clams and roasted oysters, as well as desserts like burnt pavlova.

Have you dined at any of these places?
