January was a good month; I was settling back into a healthy lifestyle after returning from Hong Kong and was able to catch up with my friends. Exciting opportunities presented themselves to me, so you could say 2015 has been off to a great start.
At North Avoca Beach
When there was a 2 metre long shark lurking around in Terrigal’s waters, I decided to go off to get some coconut ice cream. I also managed to walk back to my spot on the beach to photograph my melting cone – couldn’t help it when the background was this photogenic!
I’ll never forget this sunset from North Avoca; it convinced me at the time that I needed to buy a house there in the future.
The little man of the family had his birthday straight after our vacation, so I baked a chocolate cake for him. It was given the thumbs up by all, even though our parents are usually not a fan of anything that is 90% sugar.
Aside from the flies at outdoor eatery Porch & Parlour, I had a spiritual night with a friend comprising of a gin & tonic, olives, and the popular dip. We went for a walk along Bondi Beach and sweated it out for Messina – it was extremely packed that Saturday night, but my delicious Gay Old Time made up for it.
Can’t stop breakfast boarding. Did you know the tomato and avocado bruschetta you had for brunch could be keeping your skin clear? Well after reading , you do. This was the morning that I tried to make baked eggs for the first time. Although overcooked (15 minutes/1 egg), the paprika, chilli, garlic and basil combination was on point. I wasn’t ever been fond of exercising in public, preferring to work out with Youtube videos that made my face turn a lovely shade of tomato. However, jogging was a refreshing change and I am determined to keep this up.
