Today I’m going to give you a run down of my absolute essentials for looking presentable, because I certainly don’t have all the time in the world to get ready each morning! I’ve been sticking to this routine since the start of semester and I like it for hiding tell-tale signs of not so sweet dreams.
I love using a large powder brush (Real Techniques Powder Brush) to lightly dust a finishing powder over my face. I swirl it in my compact, tap it off a few times and gently press the brush around my eye area and the centre of my face, working out with a bit more product. While it can be tempting for me to powder a lot, your eyes are the first place people look at – letting your skin peek through makes you look fresher!
My blush brush is also from the Real Techniques range. I find that spritzing your face with a setting spray before applying blush makes for a dewier, natural finish. Try it out if you’re into that look!
I’ve had some compliments about my brows but I can only say that I’m lucky to be blessed with full arches (got it from my mama!). Still, I feather in some light brown powder with the Manicare concealer brush and it works. Sometimes if I’m in a crazy rush, I forget to brush my brows with the EcoTools brow & lash groomer so don’t even get me started on a brow gel!
All the products in order of appearance:
TheBalm Time Balm primer: still love this and can’t go a day without it.
Revlon PhotoReady concealer in 001 Fair: I’ve always been a fan of liquid concealers but this is a game changer! Love applying this with clean fingers.
Bourjois Healthy Balance Unifying Powder: on my second compact and have hit pan already! I’ll probably continue using this because there’s nothing I can complain about. Sure, it doesn’t mattify for an entire day but no powder really does that for me.
Mario Badescu Facial Spray: my go-to spray that I’m running out of! I tend to save my deluxe Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist Intense for night time.
TheBalm Mary-Lou Manizer: a little down my nose and on my cheeks adds enough glow without being overly shiny.
Essence Eyebrow Stylist Set: I always use the lighter shade now instead of taking the darker shade through the tail of my brows. Having arches that suit your face cut down time on eye makeup, which I obviously don’t wear on a regular basis.
MAC Pinch O’ Peach Sheertone Blush: perfect pink for me and although I wear it regularly, there isn’t a dent in the blush! Such great value since I bought in Hong Kong.

Have a great weekend, girls 🙂
