Mad Pizza e Bar, Darlinghurst

After an amazing head massage followed by a trim and blow dry, I met up with a friend for lunch in Darlinghurst. As you’d notice by now, we both have great appetites for Italian cuisine so today we headed to Mad Pizza e Bar. I liked the intimate atmosphere which would be great for small groups and couples. It’s got a cozy ambience and cheeky interiors which also makes for a fun dining experience. Adding to that, we had an attractive Italian waiter so I was lucky I didn’t make the order today… I wouldn’t be able to look him in the eye! Anyway, I digress, but if you appreciate authenticity, Mad Pizza’s the place to be.

O tropo Mad Pizza – $19.50

Featuring grilled chicken, bacon, pineapple, roma tomatoes, red onion and chilli; this was an absolute taste sensation! B and I enjoyed it very much. All Mad Pizzas are made with a ‘superthin light base’.

Final say: There are many similar pizza/pasta joints around such as GPK and Criniti’s, but I had a more enjoyable time at Mad. Lovely atmosphere, service was perfect – our orders came out in probably five minutes (but we went in 45 minutes before closing and there were no other customers). If you’re in the area, make sure you check out the restaurant or kick back with a cocktail or two!
